Crested cosmos with pleated centers and regular to thinly rayed outer petals were once commonly grown, even as recently as the 1920s when some catalogs listed double-crested cosmos in crimson, pink, and white. 'White Queen' from Burpee's 1923 catalog is very much the same, if not identical to 'Psyche White'! Some variability with a few single flowers. Self-sows.
